The son of a minor baronet, Sir Francis joined the RAF as flying seemed by far the most exciting way of taking the battle to Jerry. Although now trained in flying a wide variety of Allied aircraft, he chose Bomber Command because of the ‘British team spirit’ of bomber crews. Francis, along with his friend Stanley Fisher, transferred to the top secret ‘Hunter Facility’ in August 1940.

Morton Braddock
Born to a wealthy Louisiana shipping dynasty, Morton grew up on the streets of New Orleans when his Daddy put a pistol to his head after losing the family fortune. Rescued by his "Aunt" Mae, Morton's youth was a heady mix of petty crime, Voodoo and tales of the pirate treasure of Jean Lafayette.

Morton was seventeen when he left Louisiana, on the run after digging up half of St Louis cemetery searching for the bones of the long dead pirate. Bound for Europe and a new life. Digs in Athens, Thebes, Egypt, Iran. Following the Silk Road to China. Dealing jade in Shanghai. Lost in the Congo. Racing against the greats like Carter and Petrie to be the first to uncover ancient mysteries.

He now calls England home from home and mourns for the time when the world was free...
